As we see from many parts of the World, politicians and football representatives are pushing the life to resume as soon as possible. [country 44] is a different story.
The current season has been cancelled and the representatives of the Argentine Football Federation have announced that no one will drop out of the top competition [league 636] until at least 2022. According to AFA President Claudia Tapiu, the new league year will begin in January 2021 at the earliest.
“We are living in a time of global crisis that is forcing everyone to take action. Actions we have taken will be considered unpopular by many, but we had no choice,” added Tapiu.
The decission was quite surprising since the numbers of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Argentina are in average 100 per day. Comparing to Brazil, where the officials want to resume football as soon as possible it might seem too strict.
