Arteta’s planning for the summer window as Arsenal eyeing to go big in the next window!

What did Arteta say?

Speaking to Sky Sports, Arteta said, “We are planning everything for the summer, the same with the board, with [chief executive] Vinai [Venkatesham], with [non-executive director] Tim [Lewis], and with the owners.

“We are very clear on how we want to do it.

“When you have to change 10 or 12 things in one window [as in January] it’s a lot, and that has some consequences with what has happened in previous months and what is going to happen in the following months.

“We still have quite a lot of things to do, but we will get to the point, hopefully, where it’s just ticking off a few things and the stability is there, because you need that as well to be consistent and be competitive.”

The Spaniard further added, “It’s about doing things in the right moments, when they can shine, when they need protected and when they have the right players around them as well.

“It’s not about playing all the young players in every game, but we are putting a plan together, so they have space around the squad, space in the team, and we have the right flow between the players so they can become really important at the club. That path is being created.”

Arsenal’s current squad assessment

[team 19]’s only positive this season has been the excellent performances from the young players. [player 16827155] has arguably been their player of the season, while [player 1494446] is also having a great season. Outside the academy players, the likes of [player 172960] and [player 26823] are a significant part of Arteta’s tactics.

A major flop from last season, [player 96656] also looks a different player this season. His work rate has improved, and he looks much hungrier than last season. [player 10959356] is the one who’s lack of game time has been questioned, but [coach 307] has said that he knows what he is doing. The solid Brazilian youngster [player 97811] in another positive signing by Arteta. Gabriel has had a good season, and he is yet to hit his massive potential. All over the squad, Arsenal are filled with brilliant young players, showing that youth is the path the Gunners have chosen to move forward.

However, Arsenal have also signed [player 186370], who is about to enter his prime years. A majority of Arteta’s tactics are built around him. The Ghanaian is a world-class midfielder with multiple key assets in his game. His game reading ability and breaking up opposition’s play are two of his best qualities. Besides, he has got a fabulous passing range as well as effective ball-carrying ability in his game. Since his arrival, [player 1887]’s performances have improved due to Partey’s defensive balance. Also, [player 186734] looks a lot more comfortable playing alongside Partey than playing alongside a more attack-minded midfielder. Overall, Partey’s arrival has also been a massive success.

What will be Arsenal’s potential transfer approach?

The idea is not to block the pathway for those highly talented youngsters. Simultaneously, quality incomings will be essential to elevate Arsenal into a top-four [league 8] club for next season.

Arteta has made it clear that each individual’s behaviour has to be spot on, on and off the pitch. For example, he dropped the club captain [player 31739] to the bench for the North London Derby. Arteta told everyone that it was due to his lack of discipline. The Spaniard also sent [player 97087] on loan to [team 3317] after his indiscipline and disrespectful behaviour towards the manager.

Apart from the player’s behaviour and attitude, the club will analyze details for every transfer target to see if he can settle into Arteta’s system. Reportedly, Arsenal are focusing on a centre-half and a right-back. They will also be looking for a replacement for Odegaard if he returns to [team 3468]. In that case, Arsenal could go for [player 810] as [team 83] look to offload him. However, Arsenal’s primary focus will be on keeping Odegaard for another year or even sign him permanently.’

With Arsenal ready to follow Arteta’s lead, the next window could be a significant one. Exciting times for Arsenal fans to look forward to as their club looks to return where they belong.

The Spaniard reveals work has already started on classifying players that could be on their way to the Emirates Stadium.
