Big names out? Ancelotti’s Everton clear out could be ruthless

A significant overhaul looks set to take place at [team 13]. Under the guidance of the experienced [coach 455800], the club is expected to make some ruthless decisions. For the last few years, under various managers, Everton have splashed a lot of cash on multiple players. However, many of those signings didn’t work, and Ancelotti looks reluctant to carry any passengers in his plans.

The whole new midfield of [player 96091], [player 129245], [player 159372], and [player 2144], which played against [team 6], was highly impressive. This midfield will be hard to break into for any player. While these new faces have done well, the club could be under pressure to offload players on high wages.

Which players could be on their way out?

[player 4292]  looks set to depart the Toffees. [player 186474] and [player 1123] returned from their loan spells. It seems they will be sold permanently if there is reasonable interest. [player 1012] also came back from his loan spell but looks likely to leave again. Meanwhile, the highly-rated youngster [player 581071] could be loaned out to get more game time elsewhere.

[player 814] is a surprising name who could depart the club this window. The Icelandic international is on big wages, which makes him a reasonable asset. Very much of the same can be said for [player 53], whose Everton career never blossomed. Brazilian winger [player 205595] is expected to be a substitute for most of the season, given Everton’s new signings. However, his huge wages could force Everton to sell him if they receive a feasible offer.

The central debate starts as [player 133769] and [player 1881] could be on their way out as well. Both were signed on high transfer fees and are on big wages. Marcel Brands was the man behind those deals, which raised a few eyebrows. Now, Brands is being criticized for those deals which were a part of the high spending window last year.

However, under a coach of Ancelotti’s caliber, ruthlessness could work in the club’s favor. An effective overhaul can allow Everton to bring more quality players in. The question now is, can Everton be smart enough to sell those players who are on big wages.

Everton will have to get rid of some players to get the balance the right, and some of the big-money signings of last season could be on their way out
