Carlo Ancelotti’s explanation for leaving the Everton project

Ancelotti’s explanation for leaving Everton

A statement published on Everton’s official website by [coach 455800] said, “I would like to thank the Board of Directors, the players, and the Evertonians for the tremendous support they have all given me during my time at the Club.”

“I have complete respect for everyone associated with Everton and hope they can achieve the exciting opportunities they have in front of them.

“While I have enjoyed being at Everton, I have been presented with an unexpected opportunity which I believe is the right move for me and my family at this time.”

Ancelotti also tweeted a message for Everton, which said:

“I would like to thank Everton FC, my players and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to manage this fantastic and historical club,” it read.

“I decided to leave as I have a new challenge with a team that was always in my heart, [team 3468].

“I leave taking with me all the amazing moments we have experienced together and wish the Club and fans all the best.”

Heartbreak for Everton supporters

Ancelotti joined Everton with the club, aiming to progress efficiently. The major financial backing that [team 13] provided to the previous managers didn’t work at all, and money was being wasted.

With a new stadium on the horizon, the board had to make the right decision and bring a manager of the highest calibre. Ancelotti was a target for Farhad Moshiri for nearly four years, and he finally got him. To bring Ancelotti to a relatively smaller club, the project had to be appealing. Also, financial backing would be a guarantee. As it turned out, Ancelotti was ready to lead this project with a young squad.

Players like [player 5141] and [player 219633] improved under the Italian last season. The arrival of [player 129245] proved that with Ancelotti at the helm, Everton could attract the best players in Europe. [player 2144] also signed along with [player 7958], two proven [league 8] players. However, the signing of [player 96091] was beyond the wildest dreams of any Evertonian.

They started the season brilliantly, and towards the end, form dipped. They finished 10th in Ancelotti’s first full season in charge. Despite not reaching their targets, they had some incredibly memorable moments, like the long awaiting win at Anfield against [team 8]. Also, the improvement of young players was impressive.

Now, with his unexpected departure, Everton will have to find someone appealing for players like Rodríguez and Allan; otherwise, they might reconsider their futures. There aren’t many top managers available right now, and it could put the club in some trouble.

Relegated with [team 11], [coach 153] is a target for a few top clubs in Europe. Despite being relegated, he showed how much of a difference he can make in short spaces of time. Also, he plays an attacking brand of football which will suit the current players.

Everton will have to closely monitor and decide their next manager. If this decision goes wrong, the club could get into a bad position. Also, due to the new stadium’s expenses an issue.
