Klopp uncertain about Liverpool’s transfer finances

Klopp’s verdict on the summer window

Speaking to the club’s official website, [coach 455353] said, “Whatever we do or not do in the next transfer window, for sure we will not use it as any kind of excuse.”

“We did what we did in the past with the way we did it; when there was money we spent it, when there was no money we didn’t spend it, and here we are. That’s how it is.

“Yes, I’m very happy with my squad – very, very happy. Could this squad improve? Yes, like each squad could. Is that affordable? I don’t know. Is it necessary? I don’t know.

“Whatever happens, we will see, I don’t know in this moment, to be honest. We have to make decisions in and out, all these kind of things, it’s normal in a summer.”

“We might not be the best team in the world at the start of the season, but we want to be again the team who nobody wants to play against because we are that good,” Klopp said. “And I think that’s possible.

“I really think my responsibility is to improve the team without signings as well, honestly.”

What to expect from the reds in the upcoming window?

2020 [league 8] champions [team 8] declared a pre-tax loss of £46m for the business year, which finished in May 2020.

Since signing [player 1743] for then world-record money for a defender, the reds haven’t spent big money. [player 31857] and Jota were both signed for average money due to their contractual situations.

As bad as Liverpool have been this season, they could well finish the season on a high note by defeating [team 51] and finishing in the top four. This will add extra funds as they will receive higher prize money for qualifying for next season’s [league 2].

A lot of has been made of the lack of intensity in Liverpool’s game which was their basic philosophy since Klopp took charge. However, after four seasons of high-intensity football, maybe a season of calamities was coming. The same happened at [team 9] last season when they were ripped apart by the relentless Liverpool side, reaching nearly a hundred points for a second straight season.

[player 1461]’s form has returned after his double at Old Trafford against [team 14] and then another goal against [team 27]. [player 1389] has been disappointing all season long, but his age will determine that it was a blip. [player 159917] has been one of their best players in terms of goal involvements ratio.

The returning players will almost be like new signings themselves. Arguably, the world’s best defender, Van Dijk, will be back along with his partner [player 1453]. Also, [player 1494396] having a breakthrough season means he will be in Klopp’s plans for sure. Their inspirational captain, [player 323], will be back as well to solidify their midfield.

Liverpool are reportedly set to sign [player 100556] from [team 277]. Also, [player 35815] from [league 82] side, [team 683] could join the reds as a replacement for [player 1365].

Liverpool may or may not sign a major player this summer. Still, with the returning players from injury, it will be as good as any new signing for the club.
