Martial speaks about his future as a Sevilla stay looks unlikely

What was said by the Frenchman?

Speaking with ABC Sevilla, Martial said, “Now I feel very well. I was able to recover from the injury, which was a complicated injury that required a reasonable recovery time, but now I’m much better.”

“I have been very careful to be able to return and be available to the team as soon as possible, which is why I decided to come to Sevilla.

“I’m working on it (to show his best version from now until the end of the season). I came to be able to enjoy football again after a long time without playing.”

“I know I can be at a higher level, and I work for it, but first the injury, then the adaptation to a new club and a new city, is being difficult for me because of the language barrier.”

He further added, “I see it very complicated to be able to continue at Sevilla. I’m not worried about that right now. I came knowing that it would be six months and then I would surely have to return to Manchester United.

“I’m very happy with the experience of playing in a new club, as big as Sevilla and having minutes again. If we manage to be a top four team, we will have achieved the goal and I will be happy for the fans, who have been very good to me since I arrived.”

Would Ten Hag prefer Martial in his team?

Anthony Martial’s career has been a massive disappointment for football fans. As a teenager, he was one of the most exciting players in the world. We look at [player 336133], [player 96611] and [player 154421] how everyone saw Martial back in 2014-15.

[team 14] paid a high fee to sign him when he was 19. [team 6789] added a Ballon d’Or clause in his contract; imagine his potential. However, with that much appreciation, much pressure is a byproduct. His Manchester United debut will live forever in everyone’s memories when he burst onto the scene and scored a glorious goal against [team 8] at Anfield. Since then, the inconsistency in performance and constant injury issues have been his story.

This summer, Manchester United will likely bring [coach 456113] as their new coach. A young, exciting manager who likes to play attacking football. We all remember that [team 629] side made us fall in love with their game.

Ten Hag prefers players who can pass the ball with one or two touches. Martial is not like that! He likes to receive the ball on the left-wing, dribble with it and get into the box. Ten Hag would prefer [player 538034] over Martial, but it does not mean that the Frenchman has no chance.

With all the passing and possession, you also need players who can get in behind and penetrate the opposition. That’s what exactly Martial is all about. His pace and dribbling are as good as anyone in the League. Maybe, with a proper coach with his ideas and a fresh new start, we could witness the resurgence of [player 1829] as a Manchester United player.
