Is Man City a better option for Ten Hag than United?
There have been multiple reports which have claimed that [coach 456113] has had several talks with United and could become their manager at the start of next season.
However, a legendary figure and former Man United manager, [coach 37523072] advised Ten Hag to not sign for United. Due to the experiences [coach 455375] and Van Gaal have had at United, it’s clear to say the manager is not the main problem at the club.
Terrible recruitment ever year and ridiculous wages for undeserving players is a huge problem at [team 14]. Player power has taken over for the last few years and elite managers have had to pay price for it.
On the other hand, there is [team 9]. With Pep out of contract this summer, City are trying to resign the Spanish manager. Still, they are also looking for alternatives with Ten Hag being one of them.
Even though stats show that United have spent more money than City in the last decade, the truth is the timing of splashing the cash has been horrible. Not backing managers at the right time in the market has been a constant issue at the club. However, City’s spending and the timing of spending has been nearly perfect since the Saudi takeover.
They backed [coach 784486] and won the league, they back [coach 523898] and won the league. They then brought Europe’s elite manager, Guardiola and backed him powerfully in the transfer market. As a result, this unstoppable Man City dominance is taking place in the [league 8].
If Ten Hag becomes the manager to bring United back to the top, that will put his name in history books. However, these romantic stories don’t always take place and the chance of this happening is low. Manchester City have quite a young squad with an ownership that is always ready to back the manager and win as much as possible. Club stature wise, United is bigger, but the more sensible and safer option for Ten Hag will surely be the blue side of Manchester.
