One hour later he called again explaining his tough situation focusing on the kids. I asked him to give me a few minutes to talk to the manager. First the manager said “NO”, but after the guy kept calling about 10 times he found a solution.
He indeed could not give any money back, since this would cost him his position and could have been also investigated as suspicious activity. He offered to give him a one time VIP bonus. With the required wagering of that bonus, the player could have get around €500 of the lost money back.
Don’t remember what exactly the numbers were, but I checked his account over the next few days. He blew all the bonus, deposited another €2000 and lost it all. Sad thing was that this time it was all through an online casino. Not a single sports bet was placed.
I never heard of him again, but looking at his behavior, I am not buying his sad kids story. Some people are simply weird.
