With Roma preparing for their [league 2286] semi-final, Abraham expressed his great first season saying, “I love this city! It’s an experience I will never forget and coming here was a dream that came true: I wanted something new. I grew up in England, so it was nice to know a different culture.
“Here I see the history of the city and I enjoy the food, I live well every minute. I went to see the Colosseum, I heard a lot about it as a kid. I’ve been there a couple of times and I pass it every day. Even with the language, it’s fine. When I arrived I didn’t understand a word, but I’m settling in, I take lessons every day and I learn. Hopefully, in a couple of months, I’ll be more relaxed.”
“Before arriving here, I spoke to Fikayo Tomori and he told me that the Italian fans are very warm. It is one thing to hear it from a friend of yours, it is another to be here and experience it in person. When I came to the stadium I only have said: ‘Wow!’. It is an incredible feeling to be on the pitch with the fans shouting your name and cheering on the team. They are extraordinary.
“From day one, I fell in love with Rome, the team and the fans. They made me feel at home immediately. Arriving at the airport and seeing the fans waiting for me was exciting. I hope to win the Europa Conference League to strengthen this bond even more.”
When asked about playing under Jose, Tammy said, “His first words were: ‘Do you prefer to stay in England, where it always rains, or come to the sun in Rome?’
“We laughed, but then he said: ‘No, seriously.’
“I have always considered him a father figure and according to him this is the best place for me right now; I can leave a mark in Italian football and make myself known all over the world, not only in England. For me, it was enough.
“He really knows how to lead the team and inspire them to want more. He’s a breath of fresh air. When we have to wake up, he’s there. When we play well, he tells us but he still wants more. A player couldn’t ask for better.”
Tammy Abraham’s short career before Roma
[player 3139] was one of Chelsea’s most exciting young players. He was in the same age group as [player 537121], [player 581220], [player 4655], [player 9308200] and [player 2875858]. Like the majority of the Chelsea youngsters, he spent a lot of time on loan in the second division.

At the start of this season, Chelsea signed [player 995] for a huge fee and it was clear that Tammy’s time has come to an end. The young striker did the right thing by making a mature decision to leave his boyhood club.
Former Chelsea manager, Jose signed him for [team 37]. His time in Italy has been much better than how a lot of the fans expected. Despite a few weaknesses in his game, he has got everything you look for in a top-class striker. He is physically strong, tall, quick and has a knack for being at the right place at the right time.
[coach 455375] has also done a brilliant job in getting the best out of his new striker. This season in the [league 384], he’s having a brilliant season. The 24-year-old has scored 15 goals in 33 appearances.
Looking at his current form under a strict coach, he deserves to get into the [team 18645] squad for this year’s [league 732].
